Sessions for the 'Lost Horizon' album began in the winter of 2001. Originally started for a possible Aftershock album, Jeff had 3 songs penned for the band until they broke up in the spring of 2002. Jeff then re-focused the sessions into a more modern, experimental, contemporary sounding record - something he had avoided in the past. Mixing heavy 7 string guitars with catch hooks seemed to spark some new inspiration, when he completed basic tracks in September of 2002. The album was then shelved until the spring of 2003 due to a heavy schedule with the Crossroad Band and re-joining the band I4NI. After finishing the album in May of 2003, he shelved the release until July so he could finish college and graduate with a degree in Computer Science. The 'Lost Horizons' sessions may have come out entirely different if he had completed it when he started it - without interruption.
