Jeff Carman - Everything Else!
All songs by Jeff Carman except "Sinner's Shuffle " by Christopher Bechtel, Ron Abram, Andy Query & Jeff Carman
These songs started taking shape when Jeff started writing songs seriously in 1991. While in his first cover band, "Stratus", Jeff experimented with different riffs & melodies. Jeff then left La Grande, OR for the big city of Portland, OR to join "Tommy Gunn" as their new Bass Player. After a few months of rough living and Top Raman, Jeff returned to La Grande to form "Napalm Blue" in 1992 with former "Stratus" members Christopher Bechtel & Ron Abram. From there, they started rehearsing & recording original songs. Once the band broke up in the summer of 1993, Jeff retreated to his personal studio to re-record the songs he wrote for "Napalm Blue". This produced his first independent cassette release "Law Of The Order". Encouraged by the small success of the cassette, in 1994 he followed it up with another cassette titled "Saints & Sinners Serenade". This album was un-released after Jeff was unable to secure enough financial support to release the album under a larger market. Upset & distraught over the experience, Jeff retreated to his personal studio for the next 3 years to re-record different tracks for another possible release. In 1997, after a good year of writer's block and hard times, He and his new family moved to Mc Minnville, OR where he continued his recording. After securing enough financing to record and properly release the album, Jeff officially formed Time Piece Music to release his own albums to a larger market under his own direction. "Call It What You Want" was then released in the winter of 1997 to good sales and good reviews. While avoiding one general musical direction with the album, Jeff included the very best of his work at that time on the album, including the "Napalm Blue" hit "High - Heeled Misery" and the minor hit from his first band "Stratus" titled "Sinner's Shuffle".
