2004 was busy as well as Jeff was drumming & singing for the cover bands X-Factor and I4NI while recording a new side project featuring some of his blues, funk and R & B songs. The idea came about from a conversation with Harmonia player Grady Darrow in reference to a project he was releasing as a tribute to the blues featuring his harmonia skills. Jeff then went to work with Christopher Bechtel as producer in his Digital Whispers studio to re-work 4 of the songs Jeff originally started to include Grady and his talents. The results spoke for themselves and Jeff and Chris continued to work on the songs that would be "Jeff Carman and the Cadillac Daddies", a title concieved by Grady himself. The album was released to critical acclaim in 2005 and a line-up was formed to promote the record consisting of Christopher Bechtel on Guitars, Jamie Werner on Bass Guitar, Joe Maffeo on Drums, Grady on Harmonia and Jeff on Vocals and Guitar. The band suffered a huge blow with the sudden decline of Grady as the cancer he so sucessfully beat into remission had come back. The band only played a handful of shows after Grady's passing. Jeff returned to full time drumming duties for X-Factor. In early 2006, Jeff returned to Digital Whispers studio with Chris producing for a Jeff Carman and the Cadillac Daddies follow-up but the spirit of the band seemed to fade with Grady's passing and the sessions were scraped and re-worked into a return to rock ' roll. In January 2007, he formed "The Jeff Carman Band" (JCB) with Christropher Bechtel, Marc Case & Todd Arnoldus and released the two albums "Return 2 Zero"and "Shadows In The Light". In 2010, Jeff decided to re-visit the "Cadillac Daddies" format by recording some cover songs. The sessions eventually turned into recording more original material and a new album became in the works, dedicated to the memory of Grady Darrow. "The Secret Of The Bottle" was released in August 2011.
